Dinner and a Diva features highlights from a famous or beloved opera and a four-course dinner accompanied by two glasses of wine. The meal begins with hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a fresh salad and a choice of gourmet entrée, and is capped off by house-made dessert. The Capitol City Opera Company singers perform between courses. The evening begins at 6:15 p.m. with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres; the show starts promptly at 7 p.m.
“During the English Civil War, the emotionally fragile, Puritan woman Elvira and the heroic Royalist Arturo have fallen in love and are to be married. However, another Puritan, Riccardo, is in love with Elvira and has been promised her hand in marriage. The star-crossed lovers’ story unravels in a tangle of political intrigue, deception, misunderstanding, and madness, but the power of true love may be able to conquer all.”
Dinner and a Diva: Lakmé is sponsored by Ron Kite and Laura Brookshire.

live entertainment
Friday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30p.m., join us for a swinging soirée as Jazz guitar master, Dan Coy, leads a unique, acoustic instrumental group which specializes in Parisian-style jazz standards, Django Reinhardt songs, romantic ballads, and waltzes. They’ll authentically reproduce the ambiance of a French bistro, for your dining pleasure.
Then, on Saturday nights, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., it's the solo stylings of Berne Poliakoff, accompanied by her guitar. She has experience playing Folk, Jazz, Western Swing, Classic Country, and Rockabilly, both originals and covers. Enjoy this live music with dinner and drinks in the dining room or sips and snacks at the bar. There’s something for everyone!
